Developed with input from extreme skier Andreas Fransson the Vojd has the feel of a seriously hardcore big mountain jacket.
The Gore-tex Pro 3-layer shell fabric is as hard as nails and has an impressive hydrostatic head of 28,000mm, whilst the seams feature Gore-tex micro tape.
The Vojd has a loose fit so you can easily layer up beneath it, and when things start to warm up you can unfasten the pit zips which like all the other zips on the jacket are water resistant. The hood is fully adjustable and helmet-compatible, with a wired visor, and I liked the high, microfleece lined collar which gives great protection to the lower half of your face.
Both zipped hand pockets are large and also backpack compatible and there's also a zipped chest pocket with goggle wipe as well as a zipped inner pocket with cable port and a zipped lift pass pocket on the left sleeve. The sleeves are articulated and have an inner cuff to keep out cold air, and needless to say you get a removable powder skirt.
I loved the Vojd, which is one of the best jackets we've tested so far this winter.
